My Health Freaks Artisan Home Products: Since our founding in 2018, My Health Freaks has been guided by one simple purpose: to help West Michigan families care for their homes using thoughtfully made, non-toxic products that support a healthier living environment.
Many people today are mindful about what they bring into their homes. While there are lots of options out there, it isn’t always easy to tell which products truly align with your values. Labels like “natural” or “eco-friendly” can mean different things, and ingredient lists aren’t always transparent.
At My Health Freaks, we believe clarity matters. That’s why we craft our own artisan all-purpose cleaning concentrate with simple, recognizable ingredients. You can feel confident knowing exactly what’s used in your home—and why.
So, what’s inside? We use organic, unscented Castile soap, a time-honored, plant-based cleaner. We infuse distilled white vinegar with fresh lemon for extra cleaning power and a bright scent. And finally, we add essential oils—lavender, lemon, peppermint, and tea tree—each chosen for their natural benefits and uplifting scents.
This is the cleaner we use during every service, and it’s included in our service pricing.

Health Freaks All-Purpose Concentrate?
Here is a breakdown of the ingredients::
Unscented Castile Soap: This is a non-toxic, historical soap with origins in Mediterranean cultures. Its base ingredients are olive oil and potassium hydroxide (which is the soap-making agent that gets cooked out in the saponification process). My Health Freaks uses a modern alternative, Dr. Bronners, which is known for creating a soap so safe for your home, you can even use it as a hair and body cleanser!
Non-Toxic Dish Soap: We use Seventh Generation, which has one of the safest, plant-based dish soaps on the market!
Lemon-Infused Distilled White Vinegar: My Health Freaks will take plain, distilled white vinegar and infuse it with fresh lemon. This both infuses the vinegar with the disinfectant power of the lemon, and also reduces waste by putting the lemon rind to good use!
91% Isopropyl alcohol: this is used as an emulsifier for the following essential oils. It is a great low-toxin cleaning tool. It evaporates quickly upon contact, which reduces the concern for harmful residue, while still lending an effective disinfecting agent.
Essential Oils: Essential oils are anti-microbial by nature, but they also lend powerful mood-balancing effects per traditional homeopathic practices. We use these powerhouse essential oils for their effects on the human and the home, that also smell amazing!
Lavender: Has a mood-calming effect that makes you feel safe and relaxed.
Lemon: Has a mood-uplifting effect that makes you feel happy!
Peppermint: Relieves headaches and as an added bonus, critters such as spiders, ants, mosquitos, and mice absolutely hate it and are likely to be deterred from it!
Tea Tree: Is known to be immune-boosting and anti-inflammatory.
These ingredients are specially chosen and expertly-formulated with you and your family’s best interest in mind. This is our staple cleaner that we use automatically in your home and is included in the base price.

What Other Cleaning Products Do You Use?
For the instances in which our all-purpose cleaner doesn’t fit the bill for a specific task, here is what we use instead:
Distilled White Vinegar
We use plain white vinegar infused with the same essential oils as above (again, with no added chemicals), mixed in water to get a crisp, clean shine on things like windows and stainless steel. Note: We do not use our lemon-infused vinegar that we make as part of our all-purpose cleaner because the natural oils in the lemon rind will leave streaks on shiny surfaces!
Bon Ami
Bon Ami is a non-toxic, abrasive cleaner that has been on the market since the 1800s. We use this on things like toilet bowls, the tops of ranges, and sinks. It is safer and, in our opinion, one of the best abrasive cleaners on the market. You don’t need toxic cleaners to have a clean home, just tried and true products that have been getting the job done for a long time!
